Stay active this winter by taking advantage of free ice skating offered by municipalities across Windsor-Essex County!

Kingsville Arena

Located in the heart of Kingsville, this arena provides an extensive public skating schedule throughout the winter. They have a special PA Day schedule and a holiday schedule, with public skating sessions available every day except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. Additionally, there will be a free public skating event followed by fireworks on New Year’s Eve. Visit their website for the full skating schedule!

City of Windsor

Free public skating will be available from approximately December 1st to March 1st at the Lanspeary Lions Outdoor Rink on Langlois Avenue. Skating is offered Monday to Friday from 4 PM to 5 PM and on Sundays from 1 PM to 3 PM. Please note that this schedule is weather-dependent, so let’s hope for a cold winter! If you can’t make it during these times or if the weather doesn’t cooperate, the City of Windsor also hosts various paid ice skating sessions. You can find more information on their website.

If you don’t own skates, All Saints Church lends skates free of charge for use at any of the City of Windsor arenas. You can find them at 330 City Hall Square West.
