Celebrate Windsor Essex County’s Agricultural History

Windsor Essex County has a long history of agriculture – it’s an important part of our county’s history! While business has diversified a lot, farming still plays a massive role in our economy. Celebrate our agricultural past and future with these three fairs!

Harrow Fair

Starting on August 31st and running until Sunday, September 3rd, the Harrow Fair judges all manner of traditional exhibits, including baking, needle arts, poultry, seeds, and cattle. Other events include a horse show, a mom and dad calling contest and lawn tractor races.

Comber Fair

2024 marks the 165th annual Comber Fair! Running August 9th – August 11th, this county fair offers up all the classic exhibits, as well as a beer garden, pony rides, midway rides, local bands, and even a demolition derby! Make sure you’re there for the fireworks show on Friday night!

Tecumseh Corn and Music Festival

Tecumseh Corn Fest is one of the most popular agriculture festivals in the county. Running from August 25th-27th this year, it features family-friendly activities like bouncy castles, kid play zones, and fire trucks/police cars to check out. Other activities include musical acts, daily corn eating contests, and planets and stargazing with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.
