Canada Day is around the corner and we can’t wait to celebrate in Windsor Essex County. If you don’t already have plans, Royal LePage® Binder has you covered!
The Parade
Windsor’s Canada Day Parade is returning to the downtown core for the first time since 2019! Roughly 60 floats will cruise down Ouellette Avenue and onto Riverside Drive this year. The parade had previously been running in Walkerville along Wyandotte Street East – downtown businesses are so excited to welcome it back. The Canada Day Parade starts at 11 am on July 1st – find more information on Windsor Parade’s website.
Leamington Turns 150
Celebrate Canada Day and Leamington’s 150th birthday by attending a free festival at Seacliff Park! The music starts at 6:30 pm, featuring Michelle Wright, then Terri Clark at 8:30 pm. The night will end with a fireworks display over Lake Erie.
Amherstburg All Day
Canada Day is a big deal in Amherstburg. There are centuries of Canadian history in this small town – Fort Amherstburg played a pivotal role in defending British territory from America. This full-day celebration includes 5km Walk/Wheel/Run, free admission to Fort Malden, and a concert in King’s Navy Yard Park.
There are events across Essex County for Canada Day – it’s going to be tough choosing which to attend! No matter which you go to, we hope you have an excellent day with friends and family!
