OUR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

We are committed to strengthening the communities where we live and work. Royal LePage® is the only Canadian real estate company with its own charitable foundation. The Royal LePage® Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs.

Every dollar raised goes directly to helping the more than 50,000 women and children who are served each year by the shelters and support programs we fund. Since 1998, the Shelter Foundation has raised more than $46 million.

On an annual basis, The shelter foundation supports approximately 200 local women’s shelters and 40-50 violence prevention programs through our national partnerships. All Royal LePage® professionals are invited to support the Shelter Foundation by: organizing local fundraising events; providing Commission Donations and other financial support; participating in Shelter Foundation events and campaigns; and supporting fundraising activities taking place at Royal LePage® meetings and conferences.

By supporting women’s shelters, we are ensuring that women and children have a safe place to go to escape domestic violence. With our national partners, we fund healthy relationship programs for youth and support programs that help women and children heal from their experiences of abuse and rebuild their lives.

As strong advocates for this cause, Royal LePage® Binder Real Estate has hosted numerous events including an annual golf tournament and just recently the Royal LePage® Shelter Foundation Night Light Walk. Over the past 22 years, our initiative has contributed over $750,000 to various charities, but most predominantly to The Hiatus House, in Windsor, a testament to the enduring commitment and generosity of our Sales Representatives and Brokerage.
